The history of Union University has been a journey toward excellence.

Union enjoys a rich history of achievement, personified in the lives of its graduates – those men and women who have demonstrated in their own lives the lessons they learned at Union: lessons about character, about achievement, about service. Lessons about excellence.

Though Union’s legacy includes countless examples of excellence, the past decade in particular has seen the University emerge as one of the nation’s premier Christ-centered universities. The achievements of recent years form a remarkable pattern of excellence:

  • Consistently ranked in the top tier of the nation’s universities by U.S. News and World Report
  • Creation of a new campus with a dramatic enhancement of campus facilities
  • Development of one of the nation’s premier teaching faculties, characterized by a commitment to the integration of faith and learning
  • A 100 percent acceptance rate at top medical and health science programs for faculty-endorsed applicants.
  • An annual Scholarship Banquet that has brought world-class speakers to Union, including George H.W. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Colin Powell and many more.
  • National championship sports programs
  • Development of new programs to meet urgent regional and national needs, such as the launch of Union’s outstanding engineering program.

With a solid foundation of achievement, Union University stands at the threshold of a new era of excellence. What will be required to take those critical steps into a remarkable future for the University and for future generations of students?
