White Hall

Not only has the past decade seen a remarkable series of achievements in education and service at Union University, it has also seen a historic expansion in the resources available to achieve excellence.

Prior to 1996, Union University had never attempted a financial campaign in excess of $10 million, but in 1998 the University launched a $35 million effort that was achieved two years early. Using that foundational effort, Union launched the Building a Future campaign in 2000, seeking $60 million by 2005 – and the result was that goal was exceed by $3 million and achieved a year ahead of schedule.

What do those dollars represent? Here is a partial list of ways these investments in excellence have revolutionized the University landscape:

  • Jennings Hall
  • Hammons Hall
  • Two new student apartment complexes
  • A new soccer field
  • Fesmire baseball and softball fields
  • with press box
  • Miller tower
  • Development of the great lawn
  • The loop road
  • The new west entrance
  • The updated north entrance
  • The new welcome house
  • Major renovations in every part of the campus
  • A new branch campus in Germantown, Tennessee

The combination of a visionary goal and the strategic investment of resources has resulted in an institution that is emerging as one of the top Christian universities in the nation.
