WHITE HALL - ROY L. WHITE
White Hall   Union 2010: A Vision for Excellence
White Hall

As a three year old, Roy White was dealt a tragic blow when his father passed away. Throughout his youth, he worked long hours at a vending company to help support his mother and sister. After service in the U.S. Army, he began working for various medical companies and eventually started his own firm specializing in workers compensation medications. From its first office in his kitchen, the firm grew to 125 employees. It continues to flourish under new ownership.

Dr. White now owns an investment company and is a generous partner in Union University’s growth. He received an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Union in 2002. He and his wife Martha live in the Memphis area and attend Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn.

“Roy White is an entrepreneurial business leader widely recognized for his Christian commitment, creative leadership and unqualified integrity,” said Union President David S. Dockery. “His love and support for Union University in recent years has been strategically helpful in pointing the university toward a bright and blessed future.”
