WHITE HALL SCIENCE BUILDING
White Hall   Union 2010: A Vision for Excellence
White Hall

A GLANCE AT THE PRESENT: Biology, Chemistry and Nursing are three outstanding programs serving more than 400 majors and minors on the Jackson campus - roughly 15% of the university’s total enrollment in fall 2004. According to the Tennessee Board of Nursing for student enrollment in 2004, Union University has the state’s largest RN-BSN completion program and Accelerated Nursing program. In addition, virtually all undergraduates take core classes in biology or chemistry. In the 2003-04 academic year, Union students completed more than 2000 credit hours in those two departments.

A FOCUS ON THE FUTURE: In 2005-06, Union will add a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) program in response to a critical national shortage and the urging of hospitals across the region. First-class facilities are crucial to the success of this important new program, and the excellent nursing curriculum already in place. White Hall will showcase state-of-the-art teaching classrooms and student learning spaces. It is a bold but necessary step if Union is to build on its growing reputation for attracting and retaining top-caliber science students and faculty members.
