Bio:

Carol was born in Memphis, Tennessee and has lived most of her life in the West Tennessee area. She earned her Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Union University in 1979; Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Union University in 1981 and Master of Science(Nursing Administration) from Union University in 2002. Carol is also Board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Carol has many years of experience in nursing administration and management, serving as the nurse executive in both acute care and psychiatric hospitals as well as home health and hospice agencies. Her clinical experience includes work in dialysis, public health, opthalmic surgery, medical-surgical units and admissions.

Carol is currently Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing, Union University. Instruction includes work in both the BSN and BSNA programs. Her primary areas of interest as a professional nurse include leadership and management in nursing, home health and hospice and surgery.
