
CLEP Information
- CLEP exams are administered in the CLEP Testing Center which is located in Room #129 in the Center for Continuing Studies located at 1938 Emporium Drive.
- The deadline to register for a CLEP exam is midnight prior to the testing date. A CLEP exam cannot be registered for on the day of the exam.
- Registration is limited to 8 test-takers per scheduled exam date. Any exam listed in the "CLEP Testing Options" may be taken on any of the scheduled exam dates, however test-takers must choose only one CLEP exam to take per testing date.
- Test takers arriving 10 minutes or more after the scheduled start time of their exam will not be admitted for testing.
- CLEP exams are 90-minute timed exams administered on the computer in Union's Testing Center.
Please allow at least 2 hours to take a CLEP exam. Scores will be revealed immediately upon completion of the exam.
- CLEP Testing fee is $72.00 payable to CLEP by check/money order or credit card only.
- Only one CLEP exam can be taken per testing date.
- Test Administration Fee:
- Union Students: $15.00 (Check made payable to "Union University" /or $15 can be charged to the test-taker's Union student account).
- Non-Union Students: $25.00 (Check made payable to "Union University" or cash)
- To cancel a CLEP exam, e-mail cshirley@uu.edu or call Testing Services at 731-661-5309 at least two business days prior to test date.
- There is a two business-day (Monday-Friday) minimum requirement to cancel an exam.
If the two business-day (Monday-Friday) cancellation requirement is not met and the student does not show up to take the exam for which they have registered, the student will be responsible to pay the Test Administration Fee.
- Union Student No-Show: The $15.00 Test Administration Fee will be charged to the student's account.
- Non-Union Student No-Show: The $25.00 Test Administration fee must be received by Union University within 7 working days of the scheduled exam. If the Test Administration Fee is not received within 7 days of the scheduled exam the Non-Union student will be unable to register for additional CLEP exams at Union University until the Test Administration Fee is received. Also, future CLEP exams the Non-Union student has registered to take will be canceled until the fee is received.

- There is a mandatory 6-month waiting period to retake an exam if a passing score is not received. If an exam is retaken within that time period the test taker's scores will be canceled by CLEP.
