Thank you for visiting our transfer student website. The information presented here directly relates to our traditional Undergraduate Transfer audience. If you are interested in any of our non-traditional programs please visit the specific link for your program of study. Many of these links can be found here - www.uu.edu/resources/adultlearners. If you have any questions please call 731-661-5000 during normal business hours and you will be transferred to the appropriate person. We enroll transfers all throughout the year, and are glad you are taking the time to learn more about us. We want to make your transition to Union University as easy as possible. Students who consider becoming a part of our community tell us they were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the process unfolded.
You’re ready to take that crucial next step, transferring to a four-year university, and you need to make a decision that will allow you to pursue your chosen field with the best chance for success.
At Union University, our students and faculty excel in many fields. But we are more than an academically challenging university. Our students are encouraged to move toward a mature reflection of what the Christian faith means for every field of study.
It’s this integration of faith and learning that sets Union apart from hundreds of other private and church-affiliated schools. Our values are not just for special occasions – we live them every day. They are a part of every experience, inside and outside the classroom.
Our core values call for us to be excellence-driven, Christ-centered, people-focused and future-directed. With those goals before us, we have become a community of caring scholars. We want to share this unique learning opportunity with you.
Transfer ResourcesStudents seeking to transfer to Union University from other accredited colleges/universities may apply at any time during the academic year. Applications will be considered for acceptance on a rolling basis. Students seeking to transfer with fewer than 24 credit hours will be designated as "Freshman Transfer" and will be required to meet all Freshman Admission requirements and transfer GPA requirements. Those transferring with 24 or more credit hours must have a 2.3 cumulative GPA in order to be considered for Unconditional Admission. Students not meeting these requirements will be referred to the Undergraduate Admissions Committee to be considered for Conditional Admission status.
"I applied online, and it was very easy.
When I called for information, I was
never transferred to a lot of different
people. I liked the personal feel of Union."
Michelle Edacheril
Transfer student, Doniphan, Mo.
"I wanted to be challenged. I found that at Union,
plus a strong sense of community. I’m always
able to approach the professors, and I think
that makes it easier to learn."
Cody King
Transfer student, Smithfield, Va.
"I love the fact that my professors
know my name and even after completing my bachelor's degree, when
I came back for graduate school, the same professors remembered me
and wanted to know my plans. They have invested in my future and really do care."
