Union men's soccer opens season with 4-0 win

Union men's soccer opens season with 4-0 win

9/1/10 - The Union (Tenn.) University men's soccer team posted a 4-0 road win at Sewanee (Tenn.). This match was the season opener for both teams.  Union newcomers provided all the offense, led by Texas native Sutton Shults with two goals. Athletics at Union

Union athletic programs continue their winning tradition throughout the NAIA. Since 2000 Union has boasted NAIA National tournament team appearances in volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball, softball, baseball and men's and women's cross country. Individuals have qualified for NAIA National Tournaments in men's and women's cross country and men's golf. The Union Lady Bulldog basketball team captured back-to-back titles in 2005 and 2006, and then again in 2009 and 2010, to add to their 1998 national championship. In addition to these national honors, Union has also captured the TranSouth Conference All Sports Trophy eight times (seven straight) since the 2001-02 season (2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010).
