Coach’s Comments. Garrett has come on as a very versital player for the Bulldogs. He had a very impressive freshman year were he played third base and also pitched. Garrett can play first base, third base, or catch as well as be a solid pitcher for the Bulldogs. He also provides a potent bat as a designated hitter.

Union Career. 2003...hit .377 with 7 doubles, 5 homeruns, and 31 RBI...also went 6-2 on the mound with a 3.40 ERA...37 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched...named to the All-Conference team. 2004...hit .293 with 7 doubles and 30 RBI...also went 3-3 with a 5.62 ERA...tallied 33 strikeouts in 57.2 innings pitched.

Before Union. Garrett prepped at ECS in Memphis where he played baseball and football. He helped win a football state championship in 2000 and a baseball region championship in 2001. Garrett helped his team finish second in the state in both 2000 and 2001. In his last three high school seasons, he was named all-region, all-state, and was an all-state pitcher as a senior.
