Before Union: Maristany transferred to Union from across town at Jackson State Community College where he played two seasons for Coach Steve Cornelison. As a freshman at JSCC, Maristany played third base and hit .439. In 41 games, he posted 39 runs, 61 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, four homeruns, and 34 RBI. Maristany also played four years of baseball at Flanagon High School in Florida.
