Both team remained scoreless for the entire first half. Union finally broke through on a Clovis Simas goal five minutes into the second half. With 20 minutes to go in the game, Union's Ricky Mena added Union's final and desisive goal to give the Bulldogs 2-0 lead. UAH added a goal with five minutes remaining in the game to cut the Union lead to one, however, they never scored again.
Adding assist for the Bulldogs were Redzi Stojiljkovic, Joe Phiri, and Simas with one apiece.
