Fred deLay Gymnasium
Fred DeLay Gymnasium is the
home of Union's Lady Bulldog volleyball team, Lady Bulldog
basketball team, Bulldog basketball team and cheerleading team.
"The Fred" as it has become known, seats 2,200 and is named after
former Union basketball coach great, Fred DeLay. The gymnasium
was built in 1975 when the campus moved to north Jackson and has
seen many renovations and additions during its lifetime. The
chair-back seats in the Booster Club/Season Ticket holder section
were added in the fall of 1994. The latest floor renovation
was done in December of 2008, when the floor was named for Union's
long time women's basketball coach and athletic director, Dr. David
Blackstock.
