Jackson, TN—Freshman Jessica Henson was named the TranSouth Conference Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year. Union’s head coach Mark Campbell was named the TranSouth Coach of the Year.

           
Henson is a 6-0 freshman from Bradford, Tennessee. She led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 16.2 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Henson ranks fifth in scoring, seventh in rebounding, third in assists, and 13^th in field goal percentage. Jessica was also named to the First Team all Conference and to the All-Freshman team.

In his second season as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs, Mark Campbell led them to a 26-4 record and a 13-1 TranSouth finish. Campbell’s Lady Bulldog team has extended the streak of regular season conference titles to six. In his two years at Union, Campbell has compiled a 54-12.
