Union Basketball Adds Cameroon National Player

Jackson, Tenn.—Union University completes their 2001 roster with the signing of Serge Nkoudjo, a 6-foot-7 235-lb. power forward from Yaounde, Cameroon. Union’ s head coach Ralph Turner believes "Serge is an extremely hard worker with immense potential. His soft touch from the outside and ability to be physical inside will help the bulldogs next year." Nkoudjo averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks per game last season for the BEAC Yaounde national team. Nkoudjo shot 70% from the free throw line and 50% from the field while leading his team to another top finish in Cameroon. Nkoudjo is coming to America to pursue a degree in journalism while playing basketball for the Bulldogs for the next four seasons.
