Jackson, TN—Kyle McDermite, a freshman
from British Columbia, was name the NCCAA National Player of
the week. Kyle helped the Bulldogs go 2-0 last week and in
doing so, he tied an NAIA record. During the game against
Atlanta Christian, McDermite tallied five assists and a goal
to lead the Bulldogs to a 16-0 victory. McDermite’s five
assists tied him for the record for most assists in a game.
This has been done only twice in the history of the NAIA.
McDermite’s NCCAA National Player of the week honor was the
second such honor for the Union Soccer Program.
The Bulldogs are at home this weekend as
they host the Casey Jones Village Classic.
