UNION VOLLEYBALL PLAYER COLLECTS HER THIRD
PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR IN FOUR WEEKS
Jackson, TN—Lauren Hayden was once again named the
TranSouth Player of the Week. This was Hayden’s third such
honor in the last four weeks, as well as, her second in a row.
Hayden, a junior from Bellville, IL, led the Lady Bulldogs to
a 2-0 week that included a TranSouth victory over Marin
Methodist. For the week, she averaged 6.58 kills, 3.43 digs,
and 1.0 ace per game along with a .398 hitting percentage.
Lauren tallied 31 kills in the victory against Martin
Methodist.
Hayden is leading the conference in kills per game with
5.86 and defense with 4.42 digs per game. She is also ranked 3rd
in attack percentage with a .344 pecentage.
The Lady Bulldogs are currently first place in the
TranSouth Conference with an record of 3-1 in the conference
and 17-3 overall. Union ranks first in the conferences in team
attack percentage, team assists, team aces, and team defense.
Union is also ranked second in the Region XI standings.
