Union Volleyball Coach
Reaches 100 Career Wins
Jackson, TN—In less than three full
seasons, Brian Dunn has reached 100 career wins as the head coach
for Union’s women’s volleyball team. Dunn, coach since the
beginning in 1998, has helped bring this team to almost immediate
national contention. In his three-year career, he has compiled a
100-23 career record. In 1999, the Lady Bulldogs were TranSouth
regular season champions, TranSouth tournament champions, and
NCCAA MidEast Champions. This season, they are currently first in
the TranSouth Conference with 4 conference games to play.
Dunn is a 1989 graduate of San Diego State
University, where he helped lead the baseball team to a Western
Athletic Conference Championship and a Top 25 national ranking.
His coaching career began at Riverside High School in Parsons, TN
where he led the Lady Panthers to their first appearance in the
state tournament.
During his four-year tenure at Union, Dunn
has coached 26 all-conference, 20 all-region, 9 all-America, and
16 scholar athlete award winners. Dunn has earned nine coach of
the year awards including being named the 1998 NCCAA Softball
Coach of the Year. Brian Dunn is also the head coach for the Lady
Bulldog Softball team where he has led the program to a 200-48
record.
