Union Soccer Player Receives
TranSouth and Region XI
Co-Player of the Week Honor
Jackson, TN—Bulldog team
captain Scott Marksberry, a junior from Chicago, IL, was named the
TranSouth and Region XI co-player of the week along with Paul
Jeffries of Berry College, GA. In last weekends Boise Cup 2000,
Marksberry scored a goal in a 5-1 victory over Freed Hardeman and
added two more goals in the championship victory over
Mid-Continent College. Scott’s effort in the Boise Cup 2000
earned him tournament MVP. Marksberry also contributed to the
Bulldogs conference victory of Trevecca Nazarene earlier in the
week. On the year, Marksberry has tallied 11 goals and 10 assists
in 14 games.
Union went 3-0 on the week to improve their
record to 13-3 overall and 4-2 in the TranSouth Conference. The
Bulldogs are home this Thursday Night at 7:00 PM as they face
Bryan College.
