Jackson, TN—Curt King, of Jackson Central Merry, signed to
play golf for the Union Bulldogs. While at JCM, King’s stroke
average was 36.7 per 9 holes. During four tournaments during the
2000 season, he shot in the low and mid 70’s on a consistent
basis. This past season, Curt was nominated for Best of the West.
From 1998 – 2000, King was awarded as JCM’s Most Valuable
Player and in 1998 was honored with the Most Consistent Award.
King will joins a freshman class that will feature three Jackson
golfers, each having proven they are among the best in the state.
The Union University Golf team is ranked #20 in the NAIA
Preseason poll. Lipscomb University, ranked #5, joins the Bulldogs
as the only Tennessee teams in the Top 25.
