JCM Golfer Signs with Union

Jackson, TNCurt King, of Jackson Central Merry, signed to play golf for the Union Bulldogs. While at JCM, Kings stroke average was 36.7 per 9 holes. During four tournaments during the 2000 season, he shot in the low and mid 70s on a consistent basis. This past season, Curt was nominated for Best of the West. From 1998 2000, King was awarded as JCMs Most Valuable Player and in 1998 was honored with the Most Consistent Award. King will joins a freshman class that will feature three Jackson golfers, each having proven they are among the best in the state.

The Union University Golf team is ranked #20 in the NAIA Preseason poll. Lipscomb University, ranked #5, joins the Bulldogs as the only Tennessee teams in the Top 25.
