JACKSON, Tenn. - 12/4/2007 - Amanda Hutchison Coyle, a former Trinity Christian Academy standout, has been named to the NAIA Region XI team. Coyle adds this award to her first team All-Conference honor from earlier this season.
Coyle, a 5-foot-9 junior middle hitter from Jackson, Tennessee, led Union with 3.3 kills per game and a .460 hitting percentage. She tallied 356 kills on the season and a team-high 97 blocks (.90/game). Coyle added 20 service aces on the season. She played in just 108 of the 132 team games due to an injury.
For Coyle, this is her third NAIA All-Region XI honor in her three-years at Union.
Union (25-11, 12-6 TranSouth) completed their season by advancing to the semifinals of the NAIA Region XI Tournament. This region tournament appearance was their second straight and ninth appearance in the 10-year history of the program.
