Union men's soccer falls 5-1 to OBU

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2008 - The Union University men's soccer team saw a 1-1 halftime tie turn into a 5-1 loss at the hands of Oklahoma Baptist University. Union dropped to 3-3 on the season, while OBU moved to 3-2.

OBU scored first on a goal from Elcio Freitas 15 minutes into play. Union answered on a goal from Darlan Rocha in minute 36 of the first half. The score remained 1-1 at the half.

In the second half, OBU scored just one minute into play on a goal by Eduardo Acedo. James Gilreath and Acedo added goals late in the half to seal the win.

Up next for Union will be a match at home versus Delta State (Miss.) University on Tuesday, September 16 at 4:00 pm.
