KANSAS CITY, Mo. - 10/27/2008 - The Union University men’s basketball team is ranked No. 12 in the NAIA Preseason poll. This comes on the heels of Union being picked as the No. 1 ranked team in the TranSouth. Union’s men also earned No. 12 in the Victory Sports Network NAIA rankings.
Union returns two All-Americans from last season, including Matt Neaville and Bolivar, Tenn. native Brian Lake. Neaville lead the NAIA in scoring (24.7 ppg) and three pointers made per game (5). Brian Lake averaged 17.1 points and 9.6 rebounds per game last season.
