Jackson, Tenn. - 10/7/2002 - The make-up date for the fourth annual Jackson Cup featuring the men's soccer teams from Union University (6-5-1) and Lambuth University (5-3) has been set for October 30 at 8:00 p.m. The game location has also been moved from Lambuth to Union to be played under the lights. Next season’s Jackson Cup will be played at Lambuth University. Back on September 17, the game was cancelled by the officials due to rain.
In the previous three Jackson Cup’s, Lambuth holds a 2-1 advantage. In each game, the visiting team won and each won by the score of 1-0. Lambuth leads in the all-time series with Union 3-1.
Union has an overall record of 6-5-1 this season with a TranSouth record of 2-2. Union’s will host conference foe, Freed-Hardeman University on Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m.
