JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/6/2009 - Andrew Haley of Union (Tenn.) University has been named the TranSouth Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 5, 2009.
Haley, a 5-foot-10 sophomore from Memphis, Tenn., posted a complete game, one-hit, shutout at No. 31 Belhaven (Miss.) College. He allowed just the one hit, with three strikeouts in his seven innings of work as Union defeated Belhaven 2-0 on the road. Haley moves to 3-1 on the season.
Union is 21-13 on the season and 5-9 in TranSouth Conference action.
