Union’s Yeung Named to All-Conference Team

Jackson, Tenn. - 11/14/2002 - Adrian Yeung of the Union University soccer team was named to the 2002 TranSouth All-Conference team. Yeung, a senior from British Columbia, Canada, has been named to the All-Conference team for a Union record third time in his four-year career. He was the only Bulldog selected this season.

Yeung, 6-foot-0 180 lb. midfielder, tallied eight goals and 11 assists in his 19 games played this year. Yeung spent time at both midfielder and defender positions. Yeung serves as a team captain for the Bulldogs and has played all four years of his college career for Coach Darin White at Union University. He has been a big part in helping build a strong tradition for a Union soccer program that is in its fifth season of varsity competition.

Union currently stands at 11-8-1 on the season and are hosting the NCCAA MidEast Region Tournament on Friday and Saturday, November 15-16. The Bulldogs are the No. 1 seed and will play Saturday at 12:00 noon versus the winner of the Oakland City University/Asbury College game. With a win, the Bulldogs will go to the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida on November 22.
