JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/7/2009 - The Union University men's soccer team dropped their third straight in a narrow defeat at the hands of Georgetown (Ky.) College 2-1. Union goes to 1-3 on the season, while Georgetown improved to 3-0.
Union trailed 2-0 at the half on two early goals from Georgetown's Matt Simpson. In the 56th minute, Union's Paul Turner scored a goal to pull the Bulldogs to within one. However, Union could get no closer.
Up next for Union will be two home matches this weekend. Union hosts Campbellsville (Ky.) on Friday and then will host Reinhardt (Ga.) on Saturday.
