JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/17/2010 - The Union (Tenn.) University women’s soccer program signed Nicole Sheffield of Henderson, Tenn. to the roster for the fall of 2010. Sheffield will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will major in Nursing.
Union head coach Brandon Boylan says, “Nicole is a hard working defender and we are excited she is continuing her academic and athletic careers here at Union. We are looking forward to her development over the next four years. Nicole will be a great fit for Union and our soccer program.”
Sheffield, a 5-foot-7 defender, prepped at Chester County (Tenn.) High School where she played soccer and softball. She was named a first team all-district performer in soccer as a senior. Sheffield scored two goals as a junior and five as a senior from the defensive position.
Sheffield is the daughter of Anna Leath of Henderson and is a member of First Baptist Church.
