JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/17/2010 - The Union (Tenn.) University women’s soccer program has signed Dionna Linn to the roster for the fall of 2010. Linn will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will major in Athletic Training.
Union head coach Brandon Boylan says, “Dionna has played at the highest level in Venezuela and we are excited she has chosen Union to continue her education and soccer endeavors. Dionna is a great fit for Union and our soccer program.”
Linn, a 5-foot-3 sweeper, prepped at the International Christian School in Caracas where she played four years of varsity basketball. She also played four years of soccer for her club team, the Market F.C. Linn helped her soccer team to the Venezuelan National gold medal in 2009. She averaged five goals per season as a sweeper.
Off the field, Linn was an honor roll student, member of the National Honor Society, and student government president.
Linn is the daughter of David and Donna Linn.
