Union baseball game suspended in 5th by rain

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/15/2011 - The No. 17 Union (Tenn.) University baseball team had their Friday night game in Mayfield, Ky. versus Mid-Continent suspended due to rain and lightning.

Union is leading 5-0 in the top of the fifth inning. Union starter Jeremey Stack has a no-hitter through four innings. Danny Grimm, Clint Barnes and Doug Joyce each have homered for Union. The Bulldogs have two one with no outs in the fifth.

The game will be resumed on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Mayfield on MCU’s campus. The scheduled double-header with begin following the completion of the first game. All games will be play in Mayfield. No games will be played at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Ky. as previously scheduled.
