Union's Johnson Hits for the Cycle

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/19/2004 - Jason Johnson, a junior outfielder from Munford, Tennesee, hit for the cycle for the first time in his career. In Union's 16-8 win over Lindsey Wilson College on Thursday, Johnson went 4-for-5 with five RBI.

Johnson singled in the first inning, hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the third inning, doubled to center in the fourth inning, and tripled in the bottom of the fifth. Johnson transferred to Union from the University of North Alabama where he signed to play football. He graduated from Munford High School where he played baseball, football, and ran track. He holds the best quarterback record in Munford football history.
