Union’s head coach Andy Rushing is excited about Powers’ decision to sign with Union. “Signing Jud is like signing two players,” says Rushing. “He is a great athlete that will probably start as a freshman in the outfield and also see time on the mound. His tremendous athletic ability and left-handed arm off the mound will both be great assets to Union for the next four years.”
