Collinwood Baseball Star Signs with Union

JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/31/2004 - Micah Todd of Collinwood, Tenn. signed to play his college baseball for the Union University Bulldogs. Todd graduates from Collinwood High School this May and will enter Union this fall with plans to major in Electrical Engineering.

Todd, a 5-foot-10 185 lb right-handed pitcher, was named an All-District honorable mention in 2003. In his junior season at Collinwood, Todd posted a 2.03 ERA with 71 strikeouts and only 12 walks in 52 innings pitched. In addition to baseball, Todd also was a guard on the Collinwood High School basketball team for two seasons and played golf for four years.

Off the field, Todd excelled other school activities as he was Senate Majority Leader at the Tennessee Boys State. He also served as Student Council President, Fellowship of Christian Athletes President, and Junior Class Vice President.
