Union Signs Wayne County Golfer

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/1/2004 - Brenton Berlin, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, has signed to play his college golf with the Bulldogs of Union University. Berlin graduates from Wayne County High School in May and will start Union this coming fall.

Berlin, at 5-foot-11 and 140 lbs., is a “talented and experienced” golfer according to Union’ head coach Don Morris. While at Wayne County, he was named All-MidState and was 14 in the state tournament last season. Berlin was the 2nd low medalist in the district and region tournaments. He also was a six-time low medalist throughout the season. Berlin’s nine-hole average is just over 36. In addition to his four years of golf at Wayne County, he also played two seasons on his high school’s basketball team.

Brenton Berlin is the son of Terry and Kim Berlin of Waynesboro and all are members of the Green River Baptist Church.
