Gronberg, a 5-foot-8 right-hander from College Station, Texas had three complete games and a 2-1 record for the week. For the week, the senior pitched 20.1 innings, allowed four earned runs, 15 hits, two walks, and had 15 strikeouts.
On the year, Gronberg (15-2) has a 1.11 ERA, 17 complete games, six shutout, and has 103 strikeouts in 113.1 innings pitched. Union is 27-6 on the year and the top seeded team in Region XI.
Jamie Ensminger, a 5-foot-6 right-hander from Cleveland, Tenn. was the joined Gronberg as co-pitcher of the week. She had two complete games, including a one-hitter, on the week. For the week, the senior pitched 9 innings, allowed no earned runs, five hits, five walks, and had six strikeouts.
