Union / Berry Baseball Series Moved to Georgia

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/23/2004 - The Union University home baseball series with Berry College has been moved to Rome, Georgia on the campus of Berry College. Due to the importance of this series to both teams and the rest of the conference standings, this final conference series of the year was moved to insure it would be played. West Tennessee has been saturated with large amounts of rain over the past five days and the wet weather looks to continue through the weekend.

Union and Berry, along with Martin Methodist College and Lyon College are each in a four way tie in the league standings at 8-10. Only three of these four teams will earn a spot in the TranSouth Conference Tournament coming up on May 4. Only the top six teams in the eight team conference will participate in the conference Tournament. Union must win two of the games this weekend to asure their spot in the tournament.
