JCM’s Blackstock Signs with Union Baseball

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/30/2004 - Rebel Blackstock, a senior at Jackson Central-Merry High School, has signed to play his college baseball for the Bulldogs of Union University. Blackstock, who graduates from JCM in May, will enter Union this fall and major in Education.

Blackstock, at 5-foot-10 and 190 lbs., has been a four year starter for JCM at both first and third base. He earned the JCM best offensive player award in 2003 as a junior.

“I’ve been around Jackson and Union all of my life,” says Blackstock on his signing. He adds, “I've known Coach Rushing for a long time and I’m really excited to be a part of the Union baseball program.”
