Lady Bulldogs Top Blue Mountain For Conference Win

JACKSON, Tenn. - 2/10/2005 - The Union University Lady Bulldogs defeated Blue Mountain College (Miss.) 76-60 on Thursday night. The seventh ranked Lady Bulldogs improved to 23-3 overall and 4-3 in league play. Blue Mountain fell to 9-11 overall and 2-6 in the conference.

Union jumped out to a 41-20 halftime lead in the game with the help of 6-fo-16 (.375) shooting from behind the arc in the first half. In the second half, Union failed to make a three pointer (0-7) and shot just .361 from the field. Blue Mountain cut the lead to 12 points with just under seven minutes to play, but Union surged back for the 16-point win.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Stephanie Clark with 25 points and 17 rebounds. Merideth Richardson scored 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc. Natanya Smith added 14 points for Union. Blue Mountain was led by Sheree McDowell with 19 points and 14 rebounds while Prescilla Berry tallied 18 points.
