JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/9/2005 - The Union University men's soccer team remained perfect on the season with a 3-0 win over Belhaven College (Miss.) on Friday night to improve to 4-0 on the season. The win marked the first time that Union has defeated Belhaven in four previous meetings.
The Bulldogs took the lead with a goal by last season's TranSouth Freshman of the Year, Benny Crozier just 10 minutes into the game. Union tallied a second goal just before the half on a shot by Craig Clark. Chris Prentice tallied Union's final goal in the 55th minute. Gareth Munro, Michael Pugh, and Cody Curtis each recorded assists in the game.
Union goalie Robert Stinson earned his third shutout in five games as he tallied two saves on six shots by Belhaven. Union tallied nine shots in the game.
Up next for Union will be a home match on Thursday September 15 as the Bulldogs host Campbellsville University (Ky.) at 7:00 pm.
