JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/1/2005 - Union University Purity Ogolla has been named the TranSouth Conference Setter of the Week for the week ending October 27. For Ogolla, this is her fourth TranSouth honor.
Ogolla, a 5-foot-9 setter from Nairobi, Kenya helped Union to two wins last week, including a win over TranSouth foe Trevecca Nazarene University. On the season, Ogolla leads Union with 1,305 assists and has also tallied 54 service aces.
Union is currently 17-13 on the year and 4-4 in the TranSouth. Union has just two remaining conference matches before the TranSouth Conference Tournament on Novermber 11-12 in Pulaski, Tennessee.
