Union Men's Soccer Places Two on the All-Conference Team

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/7/2005 - The TranSouth Conference released the 2005 Men's Soccer All-Conference team. Union University's Benny Crozier and Gareth Munro each made the selection. The Bulldogs are coming off their second straight runner-up finish in the TranSouth Conference Tournament. However, the Bulldogs will still earn an at-large bid to the NAIA Region XI Soccer Tournament in Columbia, Kentucky on Nov. 10-11.

For Crozier, a 5-foot-10 sophomore from Glasgow, Scotland, this is his second such honor in as many years. Crozier led Union this season with 10 assists, seven more that the next person. He also ranked second with 16 total points, third with three goals, and was second on the team with 22 shots. Crozier ranked first in the conference in assists and 10th in total points.

Munro, a 5-foot-11 junior also Cumbernauld, Scotland, earns his first All-Conference selection. He led Union with 10 goals, 23 total points, and 43 shots. He was tied for second on the team with three assists. Munro ranked seventh in the conference in goals scored and ninth in total points.

Union plays next on Thursday, November 10 in Columbia, Kentucky in a rematch of the TranSouth Title game as they play Cumberland (Tenn.) in the semifinals of the Region XI Tournament.
