Union Basketball Coaches Interviewed on NAIASPORTS.net Radio Show

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/5/2006 - Ralph Turner and Mark Campbell, the head coaches for the nationally ranked Union University basketball programs were recently interviewed for a internet broadcast for NAIASPORTS.net. The interviews are linked from the NAIASPORTS.net website and will be archived.

The current No. 3 ranking for Union's men is the highest since the 2002 season in which Union was ranked No. 3 in the final poll of the season while earning a #2 seed in the national tournament. Union’s highest ranking ever came in the 1998-99 season when the Bulldogs reached the No. 2 spot. Union opens their second half of the season with a matchup at No. 1 Mountain State University on Saturday at 3:00 pm CST. This marks the second straight time that Union has met Mountain State when the Cougars were sitting at No. 1. The previous time was last season on February 19 at Union when the Bulldogs upset Mountain State 78-75.

Union's women are currently ranked No. 7 in the nation and have the recently injured starting point guard, Jennifer Henson, returning to her first action in four games.
