Neufeld Joins Union Men's Soccer Program

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/2/2006 - Lucas Neufeld, of Nashville, has signed to play his college soccer for Union University. Neufeld will enter Union this fall as freshman.

Neufeld, a 6-foot 180 lb. striker, prepped at Hunters Lane High School in Nashville where he was a four-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, cross country, and football. In soccer, Neufeld was named All-District as a senior. He also helped lead his basketball team to two District Championships (2003, 2005). Neufield was a member of the Honors Society and was the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Union Bulldogs are coming off their best season since the program's beginning in 1998. Last season, Union advanced to the NAIA Region XI Tournament Title game before losing 3-1 to the eventual NAIA National Champion, Lindsey Wilson.
