JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/5/2006 - Matt Kelly has signed to play his college golf for the defending TranSouth Conference Champion Union University Bulldogs. Kelley will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will be majoring in Economics and Finance.
Kelley, 5-foot-9 and 160 lbs., prepped at Fayette Academy where he was a two-sport athlete in golf and basketball. As a senior, Kelley was named All-West Tennessee in golf and All-District in basketball. In golf, he posted a scoring average of 39 as a junior and 37.3 as a senior. Kelley placed first in five matches as a senior, and also placed fouth in the Region Tournament and participated in the State Golf Tournament during the same year.
