JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/23/2007 - Olivia Sells, of Little Rock, Arkansas, has decided to play her college volleyball for the Lady Bulldogs of Union University. Sells will enter Union this fall as a freshman.
Sells, a 5-foot-4 libero, prepped at Little Rock Christian Academy where she played four years of volleyball. In 2005 and 2006, she helped lead her team to the 3A Central Conference regular season and tournament championships. As a senior, Sells was named to the state All-Star team, as well as, the Battle at the Fort All-Tournament team. She was also a Wendy's High School Heisman Nominee and named Outstanding Female Scholar Athlete. In both her junior and senior years, Sells added All-Conference and Defensive MVP to her list of honors.
Off the court, Sells was a member of the Honor Society, Beta Club, Oxbridge Union, delegate to the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, and was voted the senior class vice president.
For her excellence in the classroom, Sells has been awarded the Dean’s Scholarship at Union. “I am very excited about integrating my faith and education at Union”, adds Sells. “I am also excited about being a part of the Union volleyball team”
