JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/28/2007 - Continuing to add to the roster for 2007, the Union University men's soccer team has added Jacob Rutledge. Rutledge will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will be majoring in Athletic Training.
Rutledge, a 6-foot-2 165 lb. midfielder, graduated from Bentonville High School in Arkansas where he played one season of soccer. Prior to Bentonville, Rutledge spent three seasons playing soccer and running cross country at Springdale High School. As a senior, he was named 7-A All-Conference and was selected to the Arkansas All-Star team. Off the field, Rutledge was selected as a Who' Who Among American High School Students and was a member of the National Honor Society.
