JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/14/2007 - The Union University Cross Country teams will host a college meet on campus, Saturday, September 22. Union has hosted numerous high school cross country events on campus and other college events in different areas in Jackson, however, this will mark the first college meet held on the 290-acre campus (course map).
The event will be a 5K run on the east side of the campus, beginning and ending at the Union soccer complex. The men’s race will start at 10:00 am, with the women’s event to follow at 10:30 am.
Trophies will be presented to each first place team, with awards to the top five individuals in each race.

Union, who recently was voted to repeat as TranSouth Champions on both the men’s and women’s side, will open their season this weekend, Saturday, September 15 at the Vanderbilt University Commodore Classic in Nashville.
