Before Union: Anderson prepped at the Christian Academy of Louisville where she ran cross country, track, and played field hockey. As a freshman cross country runner, she earned the Chasing After God Award. Anderson also was named the Rookie of the Year in field hockey as a sophomore and KHSAA Sportsmanship Award as a senior in track. In the classroom, she was the NHS chaplain, class officer, and student council representative.
