Hobbies: volunteer firefighting, hunting, going to the lake, riding 4-wheelers, and working on his truck
Before Union: Carter joins Union after playing four years of baseball at South Pemiscot High School. He helped lead his team to a second place finish in the Missouri 2A State Baseball Playoffs. As a sophomore, he was named All-Conference honorable mentioned. Following his junior year, Carter was named first team All-Conference and was the Bootheel Conference Player of the Year. Carter hit .377 as a junior and also posted a 1.10 ERA in 44 innings pitched with 55 strikeouts. In the fall of his senior year, he tossed a no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks. Carter was also voted an SAC Class Officer at South Pemiscot.
