Before Union: Stinson prepped at Bay High School where she played four seasons of soccer. She helped lead her high school team to two Bay County Titles and three district titles from 2005 through 2008. Stinson also played for the Bay United Sharks were region champions in 2003, President's Cup and Director's Cub Champions in 2004, and Florida State Cup Final 16 in 2006. Stinson earned numerous honors during her soccer career, including being named a four-time All-County player, and a three-time Most Outstanding Defensive Player. Off the field, Stinson was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Altha Theta (Math Club), Beta Club, Student Government, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Habitat for Humanity.
