• Before Union: Ray transferred to Union as from the University of Texas at El Paso where she played basketball for Keitha Adams. She played in 24 games for UTEP in her two seasons and was a member of the 2008 team that advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the national tournament. While at UTEP, Ray was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Ray prepped at Westbury Christian School, participating in basketball and track. She was named MVP and was named All-State in basketball her junior and senior seasons. Ray was also named Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore. She averaged 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals as a senior in high school. She helped lead her team to three straight state tournament semifinal appearances and three straight 30-plus win seasons. In track, Ray helped her team win the 4x100 relay championship. Ray excelled in the classroom as she was on the Honor Roll all four years of high school.

• Christina comes to us from University of Texas-El Paso where she played on a team that was 28-4 and lost in the NCAA D1 Sweet 16. Christina is a great athlete who can finish at the rim, rebound, and defend. She has played for great coaches at every level. She will have an immediate impact in our program. I am excited to have someone who fits in our program and at Union.
